It’s strange, to see an ancient enemy on the ropes, literally on the verge of defeat – you feel a rush of euphoria, the sense of victory is right there waiting for you to just reach out and take hold of it.<\/p>\n

And at the same time you feel a certain pity, for the defeated.<\/p>\n

Except for now. \u00a0Despite its beauty and unique nature, I see science step up to the plate and offer us a potential end to influenza – forever<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0On the order of driving smallpox away into the dustbin of history, we now are looking at seeing the end of this virus’ threat to us occur in our lifetime.<\/p>\n

That is awesome, fantastic, spectacular…<\/p>\n
