A note about commenting: \u00a0most of the time whatever you post is going to be fine, and I am pretty open about what is said here. \u00a0However, some things will get your post edited, or deleted, and a very few things will get you banned. \u00a0Those are:<\/p>\n
1. \u00a0Trolling. \u00a0If your post exists only to stir up the crap without any appreciable contribution to the discussion, please desist.<\/p>\n
2. \u00a0Shape-shifting. \u00a0If you change your account name just to dodge someone else’s killfile (for instance, to engage in Slagging, below), you’ll get bounced.<\/p>\n
3. \u00a0Slagging. \u00a0If you post only to say the equivalent of “You’re a poopyhead,” save yourself the trouble. \u00a0At least say why<\/em> your target is a poopyhead.<\/p>\n 4. \u00a0Sock-puppets. \u00a0Use your own ID or name. \u00a0Posting under multiple accounts\/names to try to add a feeling of consensus will get you and all your puppets banned.<\/p>\n 5. \u00a0Spam. \u00a0Pow, gone, that’s it.<\/p>\n 6. \u00a0General insipidity or tedium – if it takes you three pages to say something that could be said in a paragraph, or if your paragraph is three pages long, that’s going to get old. \u00a0After a couple of those I’m likely to bounce you.<\/p>\n That’s it. \u00a0Other than that, try to do unto others, etc. – and I reserve the right to change these rules at will.<\/p>\n T<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hi all – A note about commenting: \u00a0most of the time whatever you post is going to be fine, and I am pretty open about what is said here. \u00a0However, some things will get your post edited, or deleted, and … Continue reading
