When I first started playing with the Bannerlands group, something really caught me by surprise – how much I’d missed playing with a group. Online games are fun, and they satisfy the need for something escapist (sometimes), but they lack a bit of the genuine social aspect that a tabletop game carries with it. Particularly one played with friends you’ve known for ages.
In this case, I was enjoying the hell out of the game, and I missed the before- and after-game chatter that went with it. So, lacking that, I decided to try writing about it. That gave me some fun stuff to do for a couple hours each week, and as it turned out, Azrael’s journal took on a life of its own. You’ll find the entries below…
